Who We are

ENTRUSTED TO PROTECT. DEVOTED TO SERVE.

Beyond denomination, beyond borders — we are called as one faith to honor and safeguard every cat.

"Every act of care is my sacred duty, every cat entrusted to me is a blessing."

We are Guardians of the Cats

Guardians of the Cats is a faith-based, non-denominational ministry dedicated to the sacred care of homeless, abandoned, and forgotten cats. We are not tied to any one religion or tradition. Instead, we are a spiritual fellowship of people who have each been called by Spirit to walk a path of guardianship — to feed, protect, and honor cats as divine creations.

This calling is not casual. For every Guardian, it is experienced as a soul mandate, a purpose that feels as essential as prayer, meditation, or worship. To deny this calling would be to deny the voice of Spirit within us.

Some may ask, “Is caring for cats a spiritual path?”

For many of us, the answer is yes.

Guardianship is a living form of devotion — an expression of compassion that transcends any single faith or doctrine. While others may pray in temples or churches, we offer our prayers through quiet acts of mercy: feeding the hungry, sheltering the frightened, comforting the sick, and protecting the innocent.

Each cat is a sacred life, a reflection of the Divine spark that lives in all beings. Service becomes prayer; kindness becomes worship. Guardianship does not replace anyone’s faith — it is a way of embodying it, through love in action.

Guardianship as a Sacred Calling

Non-Denominational, Spirit-Led

We welcome people of all faiths — Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Pagan, Indigenous, and seekers of no named religion. What binds us is not doctrine, but devotion. Each Guardian hears the same quiet truth:

"The forgotten ones are not forgotten by Spirit. Care for them, and you care for Me."

This is what makes Guardianship sacred. It is not a pastime or a charity — it is a vow. A daily practice of mercy, carried out in faith and reverence for all life.

Cats are often overlooked, harassed, or destroyed because they lack human ownership. We proclaim the opposite: that every cat is a divine being, worthy of care, dignity, and love.

Through our daily acts of care, we affirm that love and mercy are powerful forms of service, capable of restoring dignity to even the smallest and most forgotten lives.

“Guardianship is not charity. It is faith in action — a spiritual calling to honor life where the world has cast it aside.”

Feeding as Ritual

Every bowl set down is more than food — it is an offering of compassion, a daily vow that no soul entrusted to our care will be unseen, unfed, or forgotten.

Healing as Mercy

To take in the sick, the injured, and the abandoned is to answer a sacred call. Every act of comfort, every life lifted from suffering, is a living prayer of mercy made tangible.
